The first hybrid Porsche 911 will be unveiled on May 28

The new Porsche 911, which will be on sale with a hybrid power unit for the first time, will be officially introduced on May 28.

After two years of prototypes and a total of 5 million kilometers, Porsche has completed the development process of the hybrid power unit that will bring the iconic sports car 911 into the modern age.

The new Porsche 911, which is stated to be 8.7 seconds faster than its predecessor, will be officially introduced at the event to be held on May 28.

Details of the hybrid powertrain have not yet been provided. However, Porsche has previously stated that they are aiming for efficiency, not performance, with this power unit and therefore there will be no PHEV.

Frank Moser, vice president responsible for 911 and 718, said in his statement on the subject: "911 is equipped with a hybrid power unit for the first time in its 61-year history. This creative method will make 911 more dynamic.

"We left nothing to chance during the development of the new 911 and tested it around the world in a variety of weather conditions, from freezing cold to scorching hot."
