BYD Exceeded the 7 Million Electric Vehicle Production Threshold

BYD, which competes with Tesla as the world's largest electric car company, has released its 7 millionth electric vehicle.

BYD, the automobile manufacturer that has attracted a lot of attention lately, ended Volkswagen's 15-year leadership in the Chinese market and became China's best-selling automobile brand last year.

BYD, which grew by 62 percent compared to the previous year and sold more than 3 million vehicles in 2023, broke a new record.

BYD, the world leader in the production of new energy vehicles (NEVs) and power batteries, rolled off its 7 millionth vehicle, the DENZA N7, at its Jinan factory in China on March 25.

BYD was recorded as the first automobile manufacturer to produce 7 million NEVs worldwide.

BYD, which produced its 1 millionth new energy vehicle in May 2021, tripled this figure in 18 months and produced its 5 millionth electric and plug-in hybrid vehicle 9 months after this date.

BYD's NEV sales reached 3.02 million units in 2023, maintaining its leadership in global NEV sales.
