Electric Car Era in Europe

Electric Car Era in Europe

Recently, sales figures of electric cars have increased significantly. So much so that one in five cars in the European Union is now electric.

Not only the interest in electric cars, but also the brands' decisions to convert to fully electric cars were the factors in this increase in the number. Registration data of the European Association of Automobile Manufacturers for August has been published on the subject.

According to the announced data, the number of cars registered in August increased by 21 percent compared to last year and reached 787 thousand 626. The percentage of electric cars among these registered cars has exceeded 20 percent.

The highest number of cars were on the road in Germany, followed by France and Italy. When we look at the distribution of brands, VW is the most sold, followed by Peugeot, Fiat, Citroen and Opel.
