What is Turbo Timer?

What is Turbo Timer?

Turbo timer ensures that the vehicle remains running for a certain period of time after being stopped in order to prevent wear and heat in supercharged engines.

Although the turbo timer is mostly preferred in cars with engine modifications, it is a system used in turbocharged cars to prevent overheating and wear after performance use. Turbo blades can reach extremely high temperatures after high performance use. In such cases, the turbo timer does not turn off the engine when the vehicle is stopped, either by manually setting the time or by adjusting the timing according to the engine parameters, and allows the engine to run at idle within the specified time.

Especially in cars with retrofitted turbochargers, higher pressure in larger turbo combinations leads to higher temperatures. The turbocharger, which can reach very high speeds, is important for the health of the turbocharger, even for a short time after high-performance use. Using a turbo timer for both lubrication and cooling prevents damage without wasting your time.
