Ford plans to put its second electric compact SUV model, Capri, on sale in July. New images about the car were shared.

Ford is preparing to launch its second electric compact SUV model on July 10.

The model, called Capri, will be based on Volkswagen's MEB platform and will be developed at the company's factory in Germany.

Ford Explorer, launched last year, was also designed on the MEB platform. Explorer and Capri will be produced on the same production line.

Ford Explorer competes with Volkswagen ID.4. Capri, on the other hand, will compete with the ID.5 with its fastback body.

Now, some clue images showing the design of the car's headlights and taillights have been shared.

Ford Capri will have two very powerful engines: a single-engine version with 282 horsepower and a twin-engine version with 335 horsepower.

The single-motor version will offer a range of 570 km with its 77 kWh battery and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds.

The dual-motor version has a 0-100 km/h acceleration of 5.3 seconds, with a 79 kilowatt-hour battery and a range of 529 kilometers.

The model, which Ford will officially introduce on July 10, is expected to be offered for sale with a price tag of approximately 42 thousand euros.
