Automobile Sales Increased by 15 Percent in the European Union

The European Automobile Manufacturers Association has published the sales rates of cars offered for sale within the European Union. The results were not surprising.

According to the published sales data, automobile sales in EU countries increased by 15.2 percent compared to the same month of 2022. Accordingly, 851 thousand 156 automobiles were sold in the same month of 2023.

Automobile sales between January and July increased by 17.6 percent compared to the same period of 2022. In the first 7 months, 6 million 290 thousand 849 vehicles were registered to the traffic. Gasoline took the first place among the best-selling engine options. It was followed by hybrid, diesel and electric engine options.

While Germany has the highest sales among EU countries, Spain is in the last place. Top-selling brands did not surprise. Stellantis followed as the VAG Group embodied the best-selling brands.
